This ambitious project includes the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of a 2 GW offshore high-voltage direct current (HVDC) platform. The platform will reduce electrical losses during transmission to the onshore substation located in Schwerin, in northeastern Germany, where the direct current will be converted into alternating current.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dragados Offshore is currently constructing several offshore wind platforms, including BorWin5 and other substations such as DolWin4 and BorWin4 (900 MW each), BalWin1 and BalWin2 (2 GW each), and BalWin3, LanWin2, and LanWin4 (2 GW each).
